A Life Worth Living

Here is some footage from my trip to Odessa, Ukraine last year. I'm in shock from what has been unfolding in Eastern Europe and I am worried about my family in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Ireland, and the States. Violence is never acceptable. Violence on this scale can be faith shattering. Let's be kind to each other.
You can also hear a snippet of a song I just wrote called "A Life Worth Living". I'm going to start recording it properly in the coming days. I have to decide If I should sing it or get someone else on the recording. What do you think?

Signs Of Life (Blackwater Hardware Dub)

available on APPLE MUSIC // SPOTIFY // BANDCAMP // MORE

Blackwater Hardware is the latest project from my friend Glen Brady. I met Glen in New York in 2007 when he was a member of The Glass and doing a lot of gigs as DJ Wool. Andy Rourke and I remixed a couple of tracks for him (as Jetlag) before Glen took off for Berlin. If you can't find the vinyl, those tracks are up on SoundCloud: (Washed Up/Plant Music, and this madness too: The Dark Snuggler.)
We reconnected in 2015 in California when Dolores and I moved out to Los Angeles. We've done some recording and touring together since then and will likely do a bit more.
God bless you Glen, and God bless Ireland.

DJ JESS WAS OUR FRIEND

“Yes, death. Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one's head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no tomorrow. To forget time, to forget life, to be at peace.”
― Oscar Wilde
